2025 Freebike Routes Are Currently being Developed

All routes will have a rolling enclosure for the first three miles, with Minneapolis PD leading and following the riders, as well as holding all intersections. Once the lead car pulls off, riders are expected to follow all traffic laws. All three routes will have signs for all turns, and will have GPS routing provided in a number of formats (see below).

The 100 mile ride starts at 8am, the 50 mile ride starts at 9am, and the 25 mile ride starts at 10am.

Rest Stops

25 mile route
One rest stop at Cheshire Park in Minnetonka at the midpoint of the ride. Open 10:30-1:00

50 mile route
Two rest stops, one in Hamel at mile 20 and one at Cheshire Park at mile 34. Hamel is open 9-4:30 as it also serves as a stop on the 100 mile route, Cheshire Park is open 10:30-1:00.

100 mile route
Three rest stops, one in Hamel at mile 20, one at the Casey’s in Waconia at mile 49, and back to the Hamel stop at mile 79. Hamel is open 9:00-4:30, Waconia is officially open and staffed from 10:00-2:00, although the store is open all day for those who wish to head out early or need a little more time in the middle of the route.
All stops will have food, water, electrolytes, and restrooms.
